Each year our standard of Wiltipolls retained for our breeding program improves but it will be very hard to improve on our current flock.
We are very proud of the quality of the sheep we have retained.
All are A1 quality, all polled (no horns or scurs) all shed fully and cleanly and produce offspring that shed fully and cleanly by the age of 6months.
All have been selected for production of early and low cost finishing of a lean prime lamb carcass.
Another achievement is the selection for worm resistance and this is paying off, with lower input costs and less reliance on chemicals.
For the first year, we have joined our ewes to our own home bred Eureka ram which was exciting for us and we keenly await his offspring.
